Name Writing

Part of this week's homework is to post in the blog. Your child needs to post their first and last name, written in all lowercase letters, without spaces. In order to access the new ticket to read program, students will need to be able to spell both their first and last names, so this is a good time to practice. For example, I would post rebeccagreen Please write your name a minimum of three times. Thanks :)

Game blogging!

Hello everybody! Part of your homework this week is to blog about the game you played. Please tell us which game it was, whether you liked it or not, and why!

Our first full week!

We have had an amazing first full week of school! We are starting to get into a routine, and we have been to all of our specials classes except for library. Blogging is not part of this week's homework, but if you'd like to give it a try, here's the place to do it. Have a great weekend!

Summer 2009

I hope everyone is having a restful summer! If you are starting kindergarten in August, you should have received a letter in the mail with important information. The first newsletter has information about how newsletters and information will be given to you throughout the year, what day and time our meet and greet is scheduled, and what supplies are requested in kindergarten. I try to include the most frequently requested information in that first newsletter, so it will be somewhat business-like in order to include all of the information in a short space. If you have questions I did not answer, please email me at any time.

If you've gotten this far, hopefully you have taken some time to look around the class website and to set up an account for blogging. Make sure you visit the sites for kids and play some of the online games!

Please keep these dates in mind:
* August 5 meet and greet: girls 8-9am, boys 9-10am
* August 12 orientation: parents only, 6:45-7:30pm
